Worked on cutting and fitting tile for this old house today. Took most of the day but I feel more confident as I get ready to adhere the tile. Purchasing a small wet saw really made the job easier. I have done this job before, about 20 years ago. I don’t remember having the reservations or fears that I’m about to fuck this up that I do now. I guess that’s a part of getting older, you’re more afraid to make a mistake. There are a lot of eyes watching me, my carpenter, a friend who is a tile pro, and other professionals in and out of the house. Taking the time to dry-fit the tile has me feeling better about the whole job. I am now excited now to get this done. Hoping to mud this tomorrow, shouldn’t take too long, right? Yeah, famous last words, the worst is over and it should be smooth sailing from here.
